Spend Memorial Day weekend the Gulf Coast way: an outdoor symphony concert on Scenic 30A, the warm breeze off the Gulf, and a drone light show filling the night sky above Alys Beach. Sinfonia Gulf Coast continues its beloved annual Sinfonia Salutes tradition at the Alys Beach Amphitheatre on Sunday, May 24 β and this year it is completely free and open to all ages.
Guest conductor Aaron King Vaughn leads the orchestra through a crowd-pleasing program of patriotic classics and popular favorites, followed by a mesmerizing aerial drone performance that paints the darkness above the amphitheatre in color and motion. Doors open at 6 PM so stake out your spot early β bring low-back beach chairs or a cozy blanket and settle in on the green before the music begins at 7:30 PM.
Set directly across from the Gulf of Mexico in the charming walkable village of Alys Beach, this is one of the most scenic free events of the entire summer. Arrive early to browse the community before showtime, and plan to linger after β the atmosphere on 30A on a balmy May evening does not get much better than this.
