Pristine river perfect for kayaking and tubing! Crystal-clear waters, white-sand beaches, and beautiful nature trails.

Blackwater River State Park protects a stunning section of one of the purest sand-bottom rivers in the world. The Blackwater River earns its name from the dark tannin-stained water (like tea) created by decaying vegetation, but don't let the color fool you - the water is incredibly clean and perfect for swimming, tubing, and paddling.
