A free weekly ranger-led nature program at one of 30A's most spectacular state parks
June 7, 2026 – December 27, 2026
09:00 – 10:00
7525 W Scenic Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, 32459
Every Sunday morning at 9 AM, a Florida Park Ranger leads visitors through Topsail Hill Preserve State Park's extraordinary natural story. From its rare coastal dune lakes found in very few places on Earth, to its sea turtle nesting beaches and native wildlife, programs cover beachcombing, coastal birds, sea turtle conservation, butterflies, alligators, and the park's unusual geography. The program is free with regular park admission and runs throughout the year. Topsail Hill itself is widely considered one of the most pristine undeveloped stretches of coastline in Florida, with stunning sugar-white dunes and emerald water that feel genuinely wild.
Best for nature lovers, families with curious kids, and anyone interested in Florida's coastal ecosystems and wildlife.
Meet the ranger at the program start point at 9 AM. Programs last about an hour and vary by week depending on seasonal wildlife activity. Wear comfortable shoes.
Pair with a full morning hike at Topsail Hill after the ranger program. The beach here is some of the most uncrowded and beautiful along 30A, well worth the park admission.
Free with regular park admission. Standard day-use fee applies to enter Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.
