About this event

Every October, Pensacola Beach transforms its gorgeous Casino Beach waterfront into a one-of-a-kind culinary showcase. Taste of the Beach brings together more than 20 of the island's best restaurants to present their signature dishes — think fresh Gulf shrimp, char-grilled oysters, crab cakes, lobster rolls, and tropical cocktails — all while toes-in-the-sand with Gulf views as your backdrop. Named one of the Southeast Tourism Society's Top 20 events in the Southeast, this festival draws foodies and families alike for one of fall's most delicious weekends.

The fun starts Thursday with a ticket-only preview and kicks into high gear on Friday with the VIP Progressive Dinner — a trolley-delivered, multi-course culinary tour of three top restaurants with wine pairings included. Saturday's main festival is wide open to all, with free entry and food samples priced at just $8 each. Watch live chef demos, catch the spirited cooking challenge, cheer at the crab races, and let the kids join in cooking classes and activities. Local craft beer and specialty beverages round out the feast.

This is peak fall-season travel to the Panhandle — the crowds are lighter than summer, the weather is perfect beach-and-festival temperature, and the whole island is buzzing with local pride. Pair the weekend with a sunrise beach walk, an afternoon on the water, and one of the many restaurants' special festival menus at dinner. The VIP dinner sells out months in advance, so book your spot early and come hungry.
