Nonprofit organizations team up with local culinary talent to compete for prizes totaling over $72,500, while festivalgoers vote for their favorites with $1 tasting tickets and cast their ballot for the People's Choice award.</p><p>Smoke on the Coast is a full afternoon and evening celebration beyond just the cookoff — live music, complimentary face painting for kids, and a festive photo booth fill out the experience. Stroll through Destin Commons' open-air shopping center as the aroma of slow-smoked meats fills the autumn air, sampling ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and creative BBQ specialties from a diverse roster of competitors.</p><p>With free admission to the grounds and tasting tickets at just $1 each, Smoke on the Coast is one of the most affordable and fun family outings of the entire fall season.
