About this event

Where else but Pensacola Beach can you watch a holiday parade roll past palm trees and powdery white sand? The annual Surfing Santa Parade is pure Gulf Coast holiday magic, a colorful procession of festive floats, spirited performers, and community groups that makes its way along Via De Luna Drive every December afternoon.

Starting at Avenida 10 at 2 PM, the parade winds down Via De Luna toward Casino Beach and concludes at the Gulfside Pavilion. Along the route, thousands of spectators — many in holiday-themed beach attire — line the boulevard to cheer, wave, and soak up the quintessentially Florida take on a holiday tradition. The combination of tropical surroundings and Christmas cheer is something you simply can't experience anywhere else.

Coming just two days after the Lighted Boat Parade, December 6th offers the chance to make a full holiday beach day of it on Pensacola Beach. Between the parade and the beautiful winter Gulf views, it's one of the most memorable day trips you can take during a holiday vacation on the Emerald Coast.

Best for: Families, beach lovers, and anyone who appreciates a uniquely Floridian holiday celebration

What to expect: Decorated floats, performers, and holiday spirit rolling along Via De Luna at 2 PM; typically a 30–45 minute parade

Planning tip: Arrive by 1:30 PM and stake out a spot along Via De Luna. Pair with a morning beach walk or brunch at one of the beachside cafes before the parade.

Cost: Free to watch along the parade route
