About this event

The third annual OKI Fest — the Okinawa Cultural Festival — returns to the Northwest Florida Fairgrounds in Fort Walton Beach, organized by Okinawa Kulture Impact. This free, family-friendly festival celebrates the rich cultural exchange between Okinawa, Japan, and the Emerald Coast, rooted in the long-standing relationship between the local community and the military presence at Eglin Air Force Base.

Expect a full day of traditional Okinawan music and dance performances, cultural demonstrations, authentic Japanese and Okinawan cuisine, local food vendors, crafts, and activities for all ages. The festival runs from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and admission is free, making it a standout value for families and curious visitors alike.

Fort Walton Beach is about 20 minutes east of Pensacola Beach and 10 minutes west of Destin — a convenient day-trip for guests staying anywhere along the Emerald Coast. Whether you're drawn by the food, the music, or just an authentic cultural experience away from the beach, OKI Fest delivers something genuinely different on the Gulf Coast festival calendar.
