About this event

For five unforgettable days, the world's most historically accurate replicas of Columbus's famous ships — the Nina and the Pinta — will be docked right at Baytowne Marina inside Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Step aboard these remarkable sailing vessels and travel back 500 years to the Age of Exploration, exploring every deck, cabin, and piece of rigging just as Columbus's crew would have known them.

The Nina was built entirely by hand without power tools and is recognized by Archaeology magazine as the most historically correct Columbus replica ever built. The Pinta, launched in Brazil in 2005, sails alongside her as a matching period caravel. Together they function as a living, breathing sailing museum — a rare chance to see history up close rather than behind glass. Knowledgeable crew members are on hand to answer questions and bring the voyages of 1492 to life.

Admission is just $8.50 for adults and $6.50 for children 5 and older, making it an affordable and genuinely memorable outing for the whole family. The ships are open daily 9 AM to 6 PM, so you can fit a visit into any beach-vacation morning or afternoon. It's the kind of experience that turns a summer trip into a story the kids will tell for years.
