<p>One of the Gulf Coast's most beloved theatrical traditions returns for 2026 with Holding Our Own, the latest production from Grit & Grace, Inc. — a cherished Walton County nonprofit that has been preserving the region's history through live performance since 1999. Each year, the company gathers local community members and shapes their real stories into a powerful stage production that moves audiences to tears and cheers in equal measure.</p><p>Under the direction of Broadway and Off-Broadway actress Nancy Hasty, a cast of Walton County neighbors and friends takes the stage to share authentic tales of resilience and compassion from the community you're visiting. Through storytelling, original music, and expressive dance, Holding Our Own gives voice to the real people who shaped this coastal corner of Florida — and it's unlike any theater you'll experience anywhere else.</p><p>The production runs across three Walton County venues, making it accessible wherever you're staying: Freeport Community Center (July 10, 11, 12), A Simple Faith Church in Santa Rosa Beach (July 14 & 22), and Florida Chautauqua Theater in DeFuniak Springs (July 18-19).
