Every Fourth of July, the community gathers on Hotz Avenue for a spirited procession of decorated cars, kayaks pressed into service as floats, costumed pets, bikes draped in red-white-and-blue, and plenty of good-natured hometown pride that you simply can't manufacture.</p><p>The parade steps off at 8:30 AM — early enough to beat the heat and leave the rest of the day free for the beach. No registration needed; just show up and join in. Afterward, cool off with complimentary watermelon and lemonade served up by local businesses near the start of the route. It's the kind of spontaneous community joy that turns a good vacation into a great memory.</p><p>This is the only full-fledged Independence Day parade still running on 30A, and its relaxed, anything-goes spirit captures everything that makes this stretch of coast special. After the parade, you're perfectly positioned to explore Grayton Beach's galleries, grab brunch at The Red Bar, or head to the Gulf for a swim before the evening fireworks begin up and down the coast.</p>
