About this event

Now celebrating its 42nd legendary year, the Frank Brown International Songwriter Festival is one of the largest and most celebrated songwriting events anywhere in the country. From November 5–15, 2026, more than 200 songwriters — from Grammy Award winners to rising new voices — will take over bars, restaurants, and waterfront stages along the Florida-Alabama Gulf Coast for over 600 live performances at 35+ venues.

The festival's intimate format is unlike anything else: songwriters perform in "songwriter circles," sharing the stories and inspirations behind their most famous songs. You might be sitting just feet away from the person who penned a number-one hit for a superstar you love — and hearing them explain exactly how and why they wrote it. Venues span Pensacola, Perdido Key, Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores, creating an 11-day musical road trip along one of America's most beautiful coastlines.

November on the Gulf Coast means blissfully mild weather, smaller crowds, and deep discounts on accommodation — making the Frank Brown Festival one of the best-value long weekends you can plan from a Destin or Miramar Beach base. Most performances are free or low cover, so you can hear dozens of world-class artists across multiple evenings without spending a fortune. Register for the festival schedule at frankbrownsongwriters.com and start planning your nights in advance.
