<p>The Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo is one of the most beloved fishing tournaments on the Gulf Coast — a three-day Captain's Choice competition where anglers chase everything from catfish to billfish across 30 diverse categories. Set against the iconic Flora-Bama Ole River Grill on Perdido Key, the rodeo pairs serious competitive fishing with a vibrant festival atmosphere that's welcoming for the whole family.</p><p>Watch the excitement unfold at the Friday and Saturday weigh-ins from 2–7 PM, where anglers bring in their catches for official tallying. A dedicated kids' division for junior anglers ages 12 and under gives young fishers their own shot at glory with prizes in 12 categories. Live music, food vendors, and a festive crowd turn the waterfront into a weekend-long celebration.</p><p>Beyond the tournament, the Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo supports Operation Reconnect, a charity helping military families. The event concludes Sunday morning with an awards ceremony at 11 AM on the Yacht Club Stage — a fitting close to a weekend that honors both the Emerald Coast's rich fishing heritage and those who serve our country.</p>
