About this event
Who says the Gulf Coast doesn't have cowboy country? The 4th Annual Emerald Coast Rodeo brings authentic Western excitement to Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, just a short drive from Destin and the 30A beaches. On November 7, families from across the region gather for an evening of high-energy rodeo action under the lights.
Gates open at 5:30 PM, giving you time to settle in before the crowd-favorite Mutton Bustin kicks off at 6:30 PM — little ones in helmets and protective gear clinging to woolly sheep for dear life, to the delight of everyone watching. The main rodeo begins at 7:30 PM with bull riding, barrel racing, and more classic events that showcase the skill and courage of the region's best competitors.
It's a genuinely fun night out that stands apart from anything else on the Emerald Coast event calendar. Whether you're a lifelong rodeo fan or trying it for the first time, the energy of the arena is contagious — and the memories last long after you've returned home from your beach vacation.
Best for: Families with children, couples seeking something uniquely different from beach activities
