Stroll through Fort Walton Beach's vibrant downtown on the first Friday of every month to discover local art and artisan crafts
June 5, 2026 – November 6, 2026
17:30 – 20:30
Downtown Fort Walton Beach, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548
On the first Friday of every month, downtown Fort Walton Beach transforms into an open-air gallery as local artists and craftspeople bring their work to the streets. The First Friday Art Walk runs from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, inviting visitors to wander through the heart of FWB and discover original paintings, handmade jewelry, sculpture, and artisan goods from the talented creative community that calls the Emerald Coast home.
The Art Walk offers a wonderful contrast to the beach scene and provides a different lens on the Destin-Fort Walton Beach area. You'll find artists happy to share their stories and techniques, with galleries and pop-up displays spread throughout the charming downtown streets. It's a genuinely local experience that puts you right in the middle of the Fort Walton Beach arts community, and it's free to attend.
Summer and fall dates include June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2, and November 6. Each month brings a fresh lineup of artists and work, making it worth visiting more than once during a longer stay. Pair it with dinner at a downtown restaurant to make a full evening of it — FWB's dining scene along the waterfront is a destination in itself.
