Lace up and discover Destin from the ground — the Destin Marathon & Half Marathon sends runners on a spectacular coastal tour that begins at HarborWalk Village on the Destin Harbor and winds east through downtown before sweeping west along Highway 98. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles of scenic Gulf Coast road, while full marathoners double the loop for the complete 26.2-mile experience.
The course's highlight is a detour along Santa Rosa Boulevard on Okaloosa Island, where runners hug the beachfront for several miles with the emerald-green Gulf glittering just across the dunes. The flat, fast course and perfect late-November temperatures make this an ideal goal race for first-timers and seasoned runners alike chasing a personal best.
Non-runners are welcome too — spectating along the Harbor and at the Okaloosa Island section is free and festive. Stay for the post-race celebration back at HarborWalk Village and reward yourself with Gulf-fresh seafood from the surrounding restaurants.
