About this event

Each December at The Village of Baytowne Wharf inside Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, the holiday season arrives with a spectacular free light show: 12 Nights of Lights. Every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday leading up to Christmas, thousands of twinkling lights on the Village's signature tree synchronize to classic holiday music in three nightly performances at 6, 7, and 8 PM.

In 2026, the shows run from early December through December 23 on select evenings, transforming the brick-paved streets and palm-lined promenades of Baytowne Wharf into a festive coastal Christmas village. Beyond the light show, the entire Village buzzes with seasonal energy β€” holiday window displays, outdoor fire pits, warm drinks, and Sandestin's restaurants turning out festive menus throughout the month.

Admission is completely free, making this one of the best family-friendly holiday events on the Emerald Coast. For the full Baytowne holiday experience, arrive early, explore the shops, grab dinner at one of the harbor-view restaurants, and then stake out a spot for the light show.

12 Nights of Lights pairs beautifully with Baytowne Wharf's Santa's Arrival fireworks in late November and the New Year's Eve fireworks on December 31, making Sandestin a festive destination from Thanksgiving through the new year.

Best for: Families, couples, holiday travelers, all ages

What to expect: Three synchronized light shows each night at 6, 7, and 8 PM, where thousands of lights on the Village tree dance in harmony to classic holiday songs. The entire Baytowne Wharf village is dressed in holiday dΓ©cor, with seasonal dining, boutique shopping, and a warm festive atmosphere throughout December.

Planning tip: Arrive 30 minutes before a show to grab dinner or drinks at one of the waterfront restaurants. The 7 PM show draws the biggest crowds; the 6 PM show is ideal for families with young children. Parking is free throughout the resort.

Cost: Free to attend. Dining, drinks, and holiday shopping available on-site.
